The number of crime incidents in Detroit saw an overall increase last month, after a previous decrease, according to data from CrimeoMeter. Incidents increased to 6,482 for Mar-2026 up from 5,334 for Feb-2026 (+21.5% change).
Among the types of offenses that saw an uptick last month, reports of Drug/Narcotic Violations went from 57 to 79 incidents (+38.6% change). Incidents of Destruction/Damage/Vandalism of Property rose from 643 to 835 incidents (+29.9% change). Aggravated Assault went up from 454 to 575 incidents (+26.7% change).
