The number of crime incidents in Boston saw an overall increase last month, after a previous decrease, according to data from CrimeoMeter. Incidents increased to 7,369 for Oct-2025 up from 6,219 for Sep-2025 (+18.5% change).

Among the types of offenses that saw an uptick last month, reports of Theft From Motor Vehicle went from 128 to 173 incidents (+35.2% change). Incidents of Robbery rose from 54 to 71 incidents (+31.5% change). Motor Vehicle Theft went up from 83 to 109 incidents (+31.3% change).
