The number of crime incidents in Minneapolis saw an overall increase last month, after a previous decrease, according to data from CrimeoMeter. Incidents increased to 4,326 for Jul-2026 up from 3,862 for Jun-2026 (+12.0% change).

Among the types of offenses that saw an uptick last month, reports of Destruction/Damage/Vandalism of Property went from 562 to 867 incidents (+54.3% change). Incidents of Drug/Narcotic Violations rose from 90 to 120 incidents (+33.3% change). Motor Vehicle Theft went up from 391 to 422 incidents (+7.9% change).
