The number of crime incidents in Dallas saw an overall decrease last month, after a previous rise, according to data from CrimeoMeter. Incidents fell to 9,431 for Apr-2026 down from 10,168 for Mar-2026 (-7.2% change).

The offenses that decreased the most were Theft From Motor Vehicle and Robbery. Theft From Motor Vehicle fell to 952 incidents last month, from 1,094 the month before. (-13% change). Robbery went from 190 to 167 (-12.1% change).
Among the types of offenses that saw an uptick last month, reports of Shoplifting went from 480 to 600 incidents (+25% change). Incidents of Aggravated Assault rose from 221 to 231 incidents (+4.5% change).
