The number of crime incidents in Indianapolis saw an overall decrease last month, after a previous rise, according to data from CrimeoMeter. Incidents fell to 28,127 for Jan-2025 down from 28,883 for Dec-2025 (-2.6% change).

The offenses that decreased the most were Robbery and Theft From Motor Vehicle. Robbery fell to 86 incidents last month, from 145 the month before. (-40.7% change). Theft From Motor Vehicle went from 687 to 521 (-24.2% change).
