The number of crime incidents in Dallas saw an overall increase last month, after a previous decrease, according to data from CrimeoMeter. Incidents increased to 14,850 for July-2023 up from 12,225 for June-2023 (+21.5% change).
Among the types of offenses that saw an uptick last month, reports of Aggravated Assault went from 293 to 401 incidents (+36.9% change). Incidents of Motor Vehicle Theft rose from 3,188 to 4,177 incidents (+31% change). Simple Assault went up from 283 to 354 incidents (+25.1% change).
