The number of crime incidents in Nashville saw an overall increase last month, after a previous decrease, according to data from CrimeoMeter. Incidents increased to 7,834 for Dec-2025 up from 7,686 for Nov-2025 (+1.9% change).

Among the types of offenses that saw an uptick last month, reports of Theft From Motor Vehicle went from 381 to 481 incidents (+26.2% change). Incidents of Destruction/Damage/Vandalism of Property rose from 369 to 449 incidents (+21.7% change). Motor Vehicle Theft went up from 232 to 257 incidents (+10.8% change).
